Lilley’s have further increased their carbon reduction program. We started many years ago and invested in the latest energy efficient CNC turning machinery, lighting was updated to LED and an insulation program was embarked on to reduce heat loss and reduce energy consumption. Because electricity is our major energy source, we have now installed Solar electric generation which can supply in excess of 50% of our daily electricity needs. To maintain the circular economy, recycling of scrap raw materials has always been in our production plan, plus now we have installed the latest waste water filter and treatment plant. Electric and hybrid vehicles form over half of our vehicle fleet. We will continue to monitor suitable environmental improvements and implement them where practical.
